Unique Coffee Growing Conditions in Jamaica's Blue Mountains

Traditionally coffee is grown by itself on flat ground. The interesting thing about Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is we grow the coffee 5000 feet above sea level. Growing the coffee beans on the mountain side means the flavor is greater. The higher up you go, the closer to the cloud cover - the longer the bean takes to ripen, meaning the flavor is greater. Birdy's Daughter Jamaican Blue Mountain Coffee is known for it's lack of bitterness.

In Jamaica's Blue Mountains the coffee grows alongside pimento, chocolate; nutrients in the soil create an atmosphere to feed the entire ecosystem in the area.

Protecting and preserving the environment are principles Birdy's Daughter stands behind - as a result no pesticides are used in the growing process of our coffee.

We look forward to you experiencing coffee in a way that you have never experienced before!
